What a wonderful adventure we had with Carl and Jenny at their Downtown Charleston engagement session. There are so many gorgeous nooks that we stumbled upon while meandering through the cobblestone streets. Each corner offered something we hadn’t seen before. The colors of the houses and buildings. The incredible craftsmanship and architecture had me speechless more times than I can count.
I am so happy that we had the opportunity for these engagement portraits during our time in Charleston for Carl and Jenny’s destination wedding. Engagement sessions are such a fun thing to do and you have professional portraits not in your wedding attire.
It is easy to see that Carl and Jenny are so in love. These two have a chemistry that radiates joy and lights up the space wherever they are. Photographing these two is one of my favorite things! If you can remember back to a couple of years ago, I photographed their sweet proposal while they were vacationing in San Francisco from Chicago. We have become fast friends and this day and their wedding day have been long anticipated.
A lot of photographers gush over the light here in California – although I gush over it now and again, I was DYING over the beautiful Charleston light that exuded from above and delicately kissed the streets for Carl and Jenny’s Charleston engagement session.
