As I woke up on the morning of Deelan + Brittany’s Camarillo wedding day, I could have swore that I was still asleep….or dreaming……or maybe something was wrong with my hearing?? We arrived the day before to the GORGEOUS Camarillo with the most beautiful weather for July. But the next morning it was RAINING! RAIN?! RAIN?! Thank goodness it was only a drizzle and then broke apart by the time we started shooting. The girls were so excited and their smiles radiated through the house! The tables were set up for the reception in the backyard and it was almost time to head out to the church! During the most God honoring, moving, and well executed wedding ceremony, the clouds opened up, thunder shook the windows of the church, and a torrential storm was unleashed. And oh boy did it add to the theatrics for Deelan + Brittany’s ceremony!! WOW! It is definitely one I will never forget! :) As these love birds left the church in Brittany’s grandpa’s 1900s Model T in the rain, we all arrived back to the house for the reception. IT WAS WET! But it wasn’t going to ruin this incredible union!! As soon as we got to the reception, EVERYONE was out there on the dance floor dancing in the rain!! What an amazing experience, so much love and excitement, and it was PERFECT!!! Deelan + Brittany, thank you so, SO much for choosing me to document your wedding — it is one for the books!!
