Governor Thomas Bennett House Wedding in Charleston with Carl & Jenny

03

Jun

What an honor it is to share Carl and Jenny’s immensely gorgeous Governor Thomas Bennett House wedding in Charleston, South Carolina! I first met Carl and Jenny in 2017 when they were visiting San Francisco from Chicago. Carl had planned to propose to Jenny and I was lucky enough to have been chosen to photograph their proposal at Battery Spencer. Getting to know these two has been an incredible joy and I am proud to call them friends!

When Jenny emailed me about photographing their destination wedding in Charleston, I was BEYOND elated! Not only was I excited to travel to a bucket list location I was most excited to document this incredible celebration of two of the most kind, crazy in love humans I have ever met! This is such a memorable wedding weekend and one I will cherish for a lifetime.

My favorite Governor Thomas Bennett House wedding ever!!!!

Celebrations began two days before their incredibly romantic wedding day by kicking off an awesome welcome party at Goldbug Island. Jillian and I were met with the warmest smiles and biggest hugs from Carl and Jenny’s closest friends and their wonderful family. And it true southern fashion, they shared a shrimp boil feast complete with custom bibs commemorating the union of Carl and Jenny.

Their wedding day was nothing short of perfection. Starting with their vows to God in such a beautiful Catholic Church then promising their personal vows to each other at the Governor Thomas Bennett House followed by their gorgeous garden-inspired reception and the best dance party I have ever photographed!

Thank you both, Carl and Jenny, for choosing me to be a small part of your day. What a complete joy it is to know you both and an immense honor to have the privilege of documenting the best day ever! Enjoy a few of my favorite moments from their Governor Thomas Bennett House wedding!

I’ve gathered five of the things I consider when helping my couples shape a wedding-day timeline that supports both the experience and the photographs.
