Every once in a while, I get the chance to capture a love story that feels like it stepped right out of a fairytale, and James and Kimberly’s San Francisco engagement session was just that—a real-life romantic saga set against the stunning backdrop of San Francisco. From the serene waters of Stow Lake to the iconic vistas at Baker Beach, their engagement photoshoot was nothing short of magical.
Rowing into Romance: Stow Lake
Our adventure began at the charming Stow Lake in San Francisco. Imagine the laughter and joy as James and Kimberly rowed across the calm waters, sharing loving glances that seemed to echo through the gentle ripples. As their photographer, I found myself in a paddle boat, humorously trying to keep pace with their rowboat. Despite the challenge (and my fear of dropping my gear into the lake!), it added a sprinkle of excitement and fun to our session. Their cooperation, to help me capture the perfect shots, truly touched my heart. It was indeed a ‘Little Mermaid’ moment under the San Francisco sky!
A Perfect Day at Fort Baker
The next location we headed to for this San Francisco engagement session, we headed to Fort Baker, where the weather couldn’t have been more cooperative. The sun cast a warm glow that perfectly highlighted the couple’s excitement and affection for one another. James and Kimberly’s choice of locations was impeccable, each spot telling a part of their unique love story.
Sunset Whispers at Baker Beach
To wrap up our day, we moved to the picturesque Baker Beach as the sun began to dip below the horizon – the perfect backdrop for a San Francisco engagement session. The soft, romantic lighting at this hour was a photographer’s dream, enhancing the natural beauty of the couple’s interactions. The beach provided a tranquil and intimate setting, ideal for capturing the profound connection between James and Kimberly. Each pose and smile was a testament to their deep bond and anticipation for their upcoming wedding.

I feel incredibly privileged to have been a part of this special chapter in James and Kimberly’s lives. Each location we visited and each frame I captured tells a part of their beautiful story at their San Francisco engagement session.
