This Waimea Canyon Kauai elopement is one that will stick with me for a lifetime! Daniel, Jillian, and I explored the island of Kauai to document some pretty EPIC wedding portraits! This experience was just way cool, everything we saw and experienced was life-changing – even better with people you just plain adore!
I have split their portraits into three blog posts! We were in Kauai for an entire week! If I put everything in one post, it might just break the internet! LOL! With that said, today, I am sharing part one of our adventure for their Kauai elopement. Welcome to the infamous Waimea Canyon!
THIS IS MY FAVORITE KAUAI ELOPEMENT!!!!
Nicknamed the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific“, Waimea Canyon is a large canyon, about ten miles long and up to 3,600 feet deep! It was formed by erosion from the Waimea River and is exudes a colorful array of red, brown and green hues which are complemented by waterfalls and rainbows.
We opted for a hike down the Waimea Canyon Trail to get some breathtaking views of this iconic landmark. Waking up fairly early in the morning, I helped Jillian with hair and makeup, we packed up the car, and headed out on our adventure! Daniel and Jillian packed their wedding attire in their backpack and we went for it as Jill held on to her tropical bouquet!
