Nestled in the hills of Carmel Valley, California is the dreamiest of wedding venues, Gardener Ranch. It is the perfect property for this elevated bohemian wedding. Alissa and Kyle’s wedding style is romantic boho-chic. They wanted their wedding to be the most beautiful wedding their guests would ever attend complete with a floral installation that was out of this world. I love that their invitation suite included a hand-drawn map of the Gardener Ranch property for their guests to easily navigate where all of the celebrations would be held.
The ceremony took place on the Riverwalk Lawn canopied by Sycamore and Oak trees. The ceremony design is unique and included a lounge-style vignette for the wedding party. Kyle and Alissa exchanged their vows in front of a circular hoop alter installation covered in jasmine, ferns, and pampas grass created by the ever so talented, Christine Cater of Barefoot Floral.
A GORGEOUS GARDENER RANCH WEDDING
Guests were welcomed to cocktail hour by the pool where the menu included local Carmel Valley wines from Cima Collina Winery and a live oyster shucking station. Cocktail hour overlooked the impeccably designed reception space on the Woodland Lawn where guests were invited to sit at long tables where they enjoyed their meal family style.
All of the guests gathered in the Clubhouse for cake cutting followed by all of the special dances. Complete with a cake from Milk Bar, these two made the cuts with a fireman’s hatchet as a fun way to pay homage to Kyle’s career as a firefighter.
Kyle and Alissa are obsessed with their sweet dogs and found the perfect way to include them on their wedding day. Mala and Cali were chosen to be Kyle and Alissa’s flower girls. They each wore custom-designed flower collars that matched Alissa’s flower crown and they both walked down the aisle as a part of the wedding party. The wedding favors are another one of my favorite ways that Kyle and Alissa incorporate their love for their dogs. Guests filled their own “doggy bags” with treats for their dogs at home.
What an honor it was to document this day for my friend, Kristan. She executed this event with grace and I could not be more thrilled to share a few of my favorite frames from this gorgeous day!
